Moon Township, Pa. - The Robert Morris University women's ice hockey team will play 32 games, including 18 at home, in the 2010-11 regular season under fifth-year head coach Nate Handrahan.

Moon Township, Pa. - The Robert Morris University men's ice hockey team's inaugural conference home game as part of Atlantic Hockey against the United States Air Force Academy highlights the fifth annual Pittsburgh College Hockey Showcase, which will take place Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010 at the CONSOL Energy Center, the new home of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Former Robert Morris netminder Brianne McLaughlin is one of 36 goaltenders who will attend the third annual Warren Strelow National Team Goaltending Camp, May 27-30, in Ann Arbor, Mich. The goaltenders chosen represent the top goaltenders eligible for international play in select age groups.  The announcement was made by USA Hockey.

Moon Township, Pa. - May 11, 2010 - Robert Morris University Women's Hockey Head Coach Nate Handrahan announced today the signing of two players to a National Letter of Intent, who will compete in the 2010-11 season. The signees include defenseman Kylie St. Louis (Windsor, Ontario / Southwest Wildcats) and netminder Meeri Räisänen (Tampere, Finland / Espoo Blues Finland).

Moon Township, Pa. - April 27, 2010 - The Robert Morris University women's ice hockey team concluded its 2009-10 season with head coach Nate Handrahan handing out 10 team awards at its end of the season banquet over the weekend at the Holiday Inn. The Colonials ended the season with an 11-24-1 record, which included its first post-season tournament win with a 3-1 victory over Wayne State.

Incoming Robert Morris University women's ice hockey recruit, Theadora Imbrogno, led her team, the Mississauga Chiefs to a silver medal finish in the Provincial Women's Hockey League, which is the best league in North America.

2010 RMU Women's Ice Hockey Camps Open for Registration

Detroit, Mich. - March 5, 2010 - The No. 1 Mercyhurst Lakers scored three goals within the first five minutes of play before cruising to a 7-1 victory over the Robert Morris University Colonials in the College Hockey America Tournament Semifinals. Senior Chelsea Walkland (Pittsford, N.Y. / Rochester Edge) scored RMU's lone goal of the contest.

The No. 5 Robert Morris University Colonials captured their first CHA Tournament win on Thursday afternoon at the City Sports Center with a 3-1 victory over No. 4 Wayne State in the quarterfinals. The Colonials and the Warriors played two scoreless second and third periods, but three goals racked up by RMU in the first period propelled them to the triumph.

On Thursday, March 4 the Colonials will take on the Wayne State Warriors in the quarterfinal round of the CHA Tournament, which will mark the third straight year these two opponents have faced off in the tournament. The winner will take on the No. 1 seed Mercyhurst on Friday at 4:00 p.m. in the first semifinal contest of the day.
