CHA Announces player of the week recipients
Mercyhurst’s Bailey Bram named CHA Offensive Player of the Week;
Laker Melissa Lacroix selected Defensive Player of the Week;
Syracuse’s Isabel Menard named Rookie of the Week


DETROIT -- Mercyhurst sophomore forward Bailey Bram was named College Hockey America (CHA) Offensive Player of the Week after recording four points in a road sweep at Robert Morris. Laker junior blueliner Melissa Lacroix was selected Defensive Player of the Week, while Syracuse forward Isabel Menard was tabbed as Rookie of the Week for the fifth time this year.

Offensive Player of the Week

Bailey Bram - Sophomore - Forward - Ste. Anne, Manitoba/Balmoral - Mercyhurst

Bram returned to the active roster last Friday and contributed a goal and an assist. In Saturday’s contest, she scored two special teams markers (power play and short-handed empty net). She finished the weekend set with five shots on goal and a +3 plus/minus rating.

Defensive Player of the Week

Melissa Lacroix - Junior - Defense - Penetanguishene, Ontario/Toronto Aeros - Mercyhurst

Lacroix aided the Lakers to three victories last week by tallying three lamp-lighters at the offensive end and helping kill all 19 Robert Morris power-play chances at the defensive end. She scored the first goal of the game twice and was either even or plus (plus/minus rating) in all three contests.

Rookie of the Week

Isabel Menard - Freshman - Forward - Ottawa, Ontario/Louis-Riel - Syracuse

Menard assisted on the Orange’s lone goal in Friday’s 2-1 setback at Niagara. She scored the game-winning goal the next day. Menard finished the weekend series with six shots on goal and a +1 plus/minus rating.
