The final weekend of October has arrived for College Hockey America with two-conference games and eight non-conference games. Penn State host RIT. Robert Morris and Syracuse will travel to New England and Mercyhurst will be at home. Lindenwood has the weekend off. 

RIT (3-3-0) will travel to Happy Valley to take on Penn State (2-4-0) in a two-game series starting Thursday. Both teams looking for their first points in CHA. Each team is coming off wins last weekend with the Tigers beating Yale and Nittany Lions defeating Sacred Heart on Saturday. RIT is led by senior trio Kim Schlattman (4-1-5), Ellesha Fortuna (2-3-5) and Ariane Yokoyama (1-4-5). Reigning CHA player of the week Freshman Shannon Yoxheimer (4-1-5) and Junior Taylor Gross (1-4-5) lead Penn State in offense.        

The 6-1-1 Lakers welcome 4-2-2 Minn. St. Mankato in a two-game series among top ten teams at the Mercyhurst Ice Center. Mercyhurst leads the all-time series 10-2-0. They last met October 7 and 8, 2011 with each team winning a game. Leading the Lakers this season has been senior Christine Bestland with six goals and 13 assists and freshmen Emily Janiga with six goals and seven assists. Senior goalie Stephanie Ciampa is a perfect 4-0, with 1.50 GAA and .930 save percentage. 

    Robert Morris (1-1) travels to Boston, Mass. to take on a pair of top-ten teams, Northeastern (4-1) on Friday and Boston University (5-1) on Saturday. The Huskies lead the all-time series 3-1 and the Terriers are a perfect 5-0 against the Colonials. Robert Morris split last weekend with a pair of ECAC teams, defeating Yale 2-0 and falling 6-3 to Princeton. Junior forward Kristen Richards scored twice, while sophomore Rebecca Vint had a goal and assist.    

Syracuse (3-3) hits the road for two games against Connecticut (1-5-1). The Orange have won the last three meetings and lead the all-time series 3-1. Defending CHA rookie of the week Laurie Kingsbury has led Syracuse early this season with five goals and four assists. She is followed by senior Holly Carrie-Mattimoe who has four goals and two assists and junior Caitlin Roach one goal and five assists. Junior goalie Kallie Billadeau is perfect in net going 2-0 with two shutouts.
