Lindenwood University is seeking a new head coach to head up its NCAA women's hockey program. Athletics Director John Creer announced on Wednesday that the contract of head coach Vince O'Mara will not be renewed.

Creer released the following statement:

"We appreciate Coach O'Mara's contributions to our program over the years and we wish him nothing but the best."

O'Mara started the Lindenwood women's hockey program in 2003 and built one of the top club programs in the nation. For the last three seasons, he has led the Lady Lions through their transition and first seasons at the NCAA level.

Creer has formed a search committee, and has begun the process to seek a replacement.
